ii iiiiiiiiiAccording to a large study reased by San Bernardino County several years ago, 17,551 people countywide experienced homelessness during 2006. According to a 2011 report released jointly by the VA and HUD, between October 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009 an estimated 136,334 military veterans nationwide spent at least one night in an emergency shelter or transitional housing program. Some studies have estimated that as much as 23% of the entire homeless population are veterans. With the recent economic downturn, the number of people needing help is on the increase.
Thanks to the generous donations that we receive, thousands of people are assisted annually by the Frazee Community Center. But we have extremely limited resources at this time, so we are forced to turn individuals and families away on a daily basis. As a result of this current situation, we desperately need your help. Any donations, however small, will go directly to those in need. So, how can you help us at this crucial moment? Think of Frazee . . .
